Marine Licence Course
Our Victorian marine licence courses are designed to be relaxed, family friendly courses. Students aged 12 and up are welcome to attend. We deliver courses throughout Victoria on a scheduled timetable in locations such as Shepparton, Wangaratta, Echuca, Seymour & more. Sessions are held weekly throughout Summer and bi-monthly throughout Winter. Our sessions are first in, best dressed; we cannot oversell a session so plan ahead to make sure you get a date and time that suits your lifestyle.
Upon booking, we'll give you some study material so you can be well prepared for the course. Our pre-course material will include comprehensive, yet easy-to-read, guides regarding safe boating which will help you achieve better results in the exam. Those who fail to study will likely struggle to pass so we've made pre-course study a requirement to help you get your marine licence. In addition to this study, we'll also be there to teach you on the day and answer any questions you may have. This training module is designed to supplement your study, not replace it so make sure you're well prepared.
The marine licence theory course will run for a few hours. On successful completion, students receive a certificate, whereupon a marine licence can be purchased from the Victorian Government. No further testing will be required.
To get started, phone us via the number below so we can book you in. Make sure you have your Visa/Mastercard/Amex credit/debit card ready so we can finalise your booking and send you a welcome package via phone/email.
Note: A marine licence is commonly referred to as a boat licence. It's important to note we've mentioned both boat and marine licences throughout this website. To be clear, the correct terminology is a 'marine' licence as this is what you will purchase when you go to VicRoads.
Before The Course
You'll need to book your place to attend one of our courses. Bookings can be made online or via phone. It's also a good idea, but not a requirement, to review the boating handbook prior to attending.
At The Course
Bring your Evidence Of Identity (EOI). Refer to the EOI information here or call/email us to discuss. Please ensure you arrive 10-15 minutes early so we can do the necessary paperwork without any hassle. Remember, bring ID. No ID = no course.
After The Course
After you've successfully completed the course, you'll receive some paperwork which entitles you to a marine licence. Be sure to take this to VicRoads. Once you've got your licence, you can go boating!
